“Bestie”

Being one that is special to another, being the best of friends.
Ensuring that bond last with each passing day.
Staying in contact with each other whenever you can.
Time spent in making memories that will last long after we gone.
Insightfully different for each of us, however still the same.
Ending never, not even in death.

I brace myself every morn to face this day without you.
Love does not feel the same as it was when you were alive.
This world feels less without your smiles, hugs, and love.
My world and spaces are less without you.
Memories shared, keeping me when I feel the despair of your passing.
Then and now you are special to me, and I will keep you with me every day.
Then I think, what if I keep painting the clouds with sunshine?
Then I think, what if you are helping me paint the blue skies?
Then at the end of the day I close my eyes and fall asleep.
I see you in my dreams and hug you and tell you I love you.
