Snap, snip, sigh the shutter goes
Snapped up by the shutter bug
Shuttering at the speed of light
In a second or more you made

Taken with a flash
Taken in a rush
Taken carefully
Taken in colour or black and white

Taken to keep a moment
Taken to slow down time
Taken to show the sunny side
Taken to capture the moon

Taken with a smile
Taken with a tear
Taken with a bear
Taken in the bare

Stored on paper
Stored in a frame
Stored in a book
Stored in the cloud

Thank heavens for photographs
Taken in our mind or by camera
The memories they keep
at
