Memories the constant companion to our emotions.

Memories is that which has gone, yet lingers on in your mind.

Prompts emotions on the recall of just one memory.

Will keep lost ones alive.

May make you cry and does.

Can put a smile on your face and will.

Surely makes your eyes sparkle with mischief.

Sometimes darkening your mood at the memory of pain.

Give you comfort in times of despair.

Wrapping your inner space with warmth.

Keeps you living on the edge.

Re-unites old friends with laughter.

Spreads longing and joy for things no more.

Keeps you on the phone long after it was time to say goodbye.

The minds own movies, sometimes played at will, sometimes not.

Always allowed to use pause or slow motion to bring the exact moment in focus.

The senses helping with sharpening the imagery.

Thank you mind for keeping all mine.

Thank you for the reminders of the good, the old, the bad.

My lips turn up in a smile.
My eyes sparkle.
My heart skips a beat.
My cheeks turn a blush.
My blood is red, instead of blue.
My scent lingers, after I am gone.
My path is filled with roses instead of thorns.
My knees of jelly hold me steady.
My arms spread in a hug.
My voice is soft.
My words are of love.
My whispers are heard by all.
I have one question to ask, yet it so hard to get out.
So I will whisper it softly to the wind.
"Will you be my Valentine, for now and for all time?"

A soft purr fills the air, the laugh of a child follows.
Silky fur rubs against a humans leg.
A finger or two scratches softly a furry chin.
The look of content spreads as food, touching and caressing happens.
